Live & Online Auction Offers Opportunities for Homebuyers, Investors and Renovators
YORK, PA, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — YORK, Pa. — October 14, 2026 — The Housing Authority of the City of York will offer five residential
properties throughout York County at a live and online public auction on Wednesday, October 28, 2026,
creating opportunities for prospective homeowners, investors, landlords and renovators to acquire
properties ranging from single-family residences to duplexes and a distinctive four-unit residential property.
The auction will be conducted by Higgenbotham Auctioneers International, Ltd., Inc., in cooperation
with Hurley Real Estate & Auctions, the Pennsylvania real estate brokerage for the sale. The properties are
located in Windsor, Red Lion, Yoe, and Emigsville and include two single-family residences, two duplexes
and one four-unit residential property. The properties will be offered individually, allowing bidders to
pursue a single property or potentially acquire multiple properties.
“Public auction creates an open, competitive marketplace and gives buyers an opportunity to determine
value through competitive bidding,” said Martin E. “Marty” Higgenbotham, President of Higgenbotham
Auctioneers International. “What makes this offering particularly interesting is the diversity of the
properties. There are opportunities for someone looking for a home to renovate and make their own, as well
as investors and renovators looking for income-producing and value-add properties.”
The five-property offering includes single-family residences with renovation potential, two distinctly
different duplex configurations and a substantial four-unit property. Several of the homes feature early-
20th-century architectural character, generous bedroom counts, basements and attic space, yards, offstreet
parking and other features that provide opportunities for improvement and repositioning.
For the Housing Authority, the auction also provides an opportunity to transition the properties to new
ownership and continued productive residential use within their respective communities, while also
generating funds to support new housing development and construction within York County.
“We see this as an opportunity to place these properties into the hands of buyers who recognize their
potential and are willing to invest in them,” said Regina Mitchell, Executive Director of the Housing
Authority of the City of York. “Our hope is that new ownership will bring additional investment into these
homes while contributing positively to the neighborhoods and communities in which they are located.”
The auction’s marketing theme, “Renovate • Reinvest • Revitalize,” reflects the range of opportunities
represented by the five properties—from homeownership and renovation to rental investment and portfolio
expansion.
