Ordr, the integrated payments and commerce intelligence company, today announced that Daniel Montellano has joined the company as an advisor. Montellano will help guide Ordr’s product and vertical direction as Ordr Insights expands beyond sports and entertainment into lodging and hospitality.

Montellano has spent more than 30 years across hospitality, payments and retail, including over two decades at Shift4. He has also influenced the standards the industry runs on. He was part of one of the first special interest groups at Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG), has served on the Las Vegas chapter board of Hospitality Financial Technology Professionals (HFTP) for a decade, and speaks on payments and security for HFTP and other industry associations, including the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association.

Montellano is currently a co-owner and partner of Damascus Consulting, Merchant Stack Advisors, Xcentivize and Capital Convergence Group.

“Hospitality has been asking to build loyalty programs through payments instead of apps,” said Ryan Bott, CEO of Ordr. “Ordr now offers that, and Daniel was critical to figuring it out. We’re honored to have him help take that to market. He knows the people who run hospitality, and he’s the most prepared person in the room. He’s exactly who we want guiding Ordr into lodging.”

Montellano will also open relationships across the hospitality and payments industries for Ordr Insights as well as Ordr Pay, fully integrated payments within the systems lodging already uses today.
